I was reading an interesting post over at Blogger Noob today titled, Getting rich by making $5 a day. The post was well written, but it mainly consisted of basic knowledge - common sense. The idea of the article states that if you make 5 dollars a day on one blog and make 19 other blogs that make 5 dollars a day also, then you will be making 100 dollars a day. (20 blogs multiplied by 5 dollars a blog equals 100 dollars a day.) This will only hold true long as you update each and every blog at least once a day that is. It sounds pretty simple, but is it as simple as it actually sounds?

Many people get the idea that that they can be a successful blogger, and bring in a generous amount of income by only writing one post a day, and leaving it at that. I totally agree with your Taylor, it is sound really simple to make money online, 5 bucks a day seem not much but it is easy?

About your post, it is very true. There are false hopes that are being propagated in the interent that blogging is an easy get rich stuff..and yet only a very little percentage of bloggers even earn!
BTW, about the blogger, did you buy your domain from blogger itself? I did so but the domain, when I shifted to it, blogger told me that the it is already hosted. Did you encounter any problem when you shifted to .com?
123 - Man. I purchased through GoDaddy's website. That way, if I ever want to host my blog somewhere else, I still have rights to the domain.
Purchasing your domain through blogger is really easy, and I have done it before. But from what I know, you have less control over your domain.
Your problem - Maybe your domain has been purchased by someone else already? If you could give me more specifics on what went down I could probably help. What's the blogspot and dot com URL to your website?

Tixrus - I didn't know that. However, I don't get how people can make money through porn when they don't even have rights to the video...

tixrus- i don't make a lot of money with porn. I wish i did, but sadly i don't. I am a part time blogger. I do this has a hobby. but i run a lot of different types of blogs. A few are adult related. But they don't make a lot of money. My biggest money maker is bloggernoob and two other sites. The two other sites have been invested heavily. but bloggernoob was built from the ground up with minimal expenses. I only paid for hosting, domain, and a some light marketing expenses.
I think taylor makes a good argument, but i still believe money can be made with relative ease . Realistic ammounts tho. Not riches. That was what my post about about. Just the idea that making 5 dollars a day could be repeated with less work. A full on blog requires a lot of time. But a blog set up for search engines, niche websites, etc are very low maintenence.
I think one can make $10 easy from one blog. So you need to maintain just 10 blogs everyday. I live in India and here if you can make $3000 in a month its a fortune..!!!!
I've now changed my opinion about blogging. I believe that you should create more websites. The more the better.
However, before you create more, let your first site gain some respect. What I mean is this, don't try to build respect for more than one site at a time. This is too difficult. Build up your respect for one site and once it's high enough, build it up for another site.
