Glad you liked the post... However, we all know that you didn't care to even read it. You're just trying to get links to your sites.
Let me help you out. You're wasting your time. Firstly, the links from these comments are all "Nofollow" which means that Google doesn't even know they're here.
Secondly, you didn't provide anything useful to the post. With that being said, nobody is going to click your links.
If you're looking to leave a comment on someone's site in hopes that they visit your own, be sure to next time provide something useful as a comment. Otherwise, you're wasting your time.
I came across your Youtube video on the Favicon tutorial. I have also been using a lot of the other methods with no results. Was happy to find your demonstration since it was posted fairly recently.
Im 38 so this stuff is comes a little slower to me but I first came across a problem, trying to download Imagicon since I am working on a Mac, but found this site that helped me
This worked great and I was back to the tutorial. I followed all the other steps and it worked. My next question is, is the url supposed to have all the screwy text once this is done, and s there anyway to get back my blogspot name back in the url with the Favicon. I was a little freaked by this and did not save the template until I heard back from you on this.
P. Alvarado. Thank you for your comment. My best bet is that you're simply previewing your work instead of saving it. Any time you preview your work in Blogger, it will show a funky URL.
Simply save your template, view your actual blog, and you will be fine. If this doesn't work, feel free to contact me again.

I did see your response and you were right once I posted the changes my Favicon showed up. Thanks for the getting back to me and thanks for the tutorial that helped me get me going.
Hey thanks for all your help. I did everything.. used this code: http://h1.ripway.com/afmodelboy24/favicon.ico
it worked the very first time I previewed. I then saved the template. Didn't make any changes. Went to view blog, and now it doesn't work in either the preview or "view blog." How could that be?
Thanks for the great tip - it was very well explained and I actually got it to work right away.
I did notice that the code above looked a little funky with all the &'s and 39's, and found this code that works - I think it is the same as yours, is it not?
< link href='YOUR_FAVICON_URL' rel='shortcut icon'/> < link href='YOUR_FAVICON_URL' rel='icon'/>
I do think, though, it would be nice to have the code copyable instead of as an image. Just for us lazy people who like copying and pasting! :)

Taylor,

I think I'm a lil bimbo cause I still can't figure out how to do it.

Hm. Thanks angel.

sorry, this is the code i used: <link href='http://h1.ripway.com/afmodelboy24/favicon.icorel='shortcut icon'/>
not sure why the 39's are showing up.
Anyway, it's working like 20% of the time. Why the inconsistency?
What browser are you using?
Internet explorer, i think the latest version, I'll have to go back and check
You could try Firefox.
So I'm confused a little. Are you saying to insert the code in firebox instead? The code is the code right? That part shouldn't change.
Or are you saying to access the site from firefox for the icon to show?
Thanks again for everything. Your site has been a big help
Try accessing your site through Firefox.
It's just annoying b/c i'm on internet explorer right now and yours is right up top. yet mine (with the same coding) isn't coming up. But oh well!
Hmm. I would have to look through your coding. Sorry it's not working. :(
