A link building strategy that will put you on top!
Please note that the time it takes to rank on page one of Google will depend on the difficulty of the keyword you're targeting. Either way, this is a link building strategy that I have successfully used for Video Blogging Tips and in my opinion, everyone should give it a try. 1. Fast Blog Finder - Fast Blog Finder is a wonderful tool that allows you to type in a keyword that relates to your blog to search for blogs related to that of your own. This allows you to gain dofollow backlinks from really high page rank websites.
2. Holding Crazy Contests - I am not talking about 10 dollars, 20 dollars, or 30 dollars. I am talking about hundred dollar contests or even more. I am actually going to begin saving my Entrecard Credits to have a huge 30,000 or 50,000 Entrecard Credit Contest. This builds up hype around your site and is definitely a great way to get backlinks!
3. Write an Ezine - Ezines are great for link your building strategy simply because they always end up with a high page rank. Ezines are basically one to two page articles that usually teach people how to do something.
4. Squidoo & Hubpages - Squidoo and Hubpages are two other great way to gain backlinks. These are usually one page sources with a tone of great information. They're almost like miniature E-Books. You write your book, link back to your site, and over time, your Squidoo or Hub page will turn into a high page rank backlink for your site.
5. Be a guest writer - This is more time consuming, but you could ask to be a guest writer on somebody else's blog. For instance, let's say Darren Rowse called me and said, "I want to write an article on your site." I'd say, "Go right ahead." The reason for this is, Darren not only writes wonderful articles, but he is also well known. If he writes on my blog, that will create buzz around my own site. Guest writing can do this for you also whether the link you gain is a DoFollow link or not.
6. Link out of your site - Link out of your site with a NoFollow tag anchored to your link. Hope that you get a link back from the person you linked out to with a DoFollow tag.
