If you don't build back links and if you don't promote your site you will not be a successful blogger.
To some extent that statement is true. I realize that some of you may be disappointed, but I have decided to do blog posts every other day instead of every day here at Video Blogging Tips dot Com. However, this could definitely be a good thing for myself and for you also.
Why?
There are many different reasons why I have decided to do blog posts every other day instead of everyday here at this site.
Here are the reasons:
- I will be going to school starting January 5th.
- I need time to work on the other blogs that make me more money.
- I need extra time to promote my sites and build back links.
Why don't I quit Video Blogging Tips altogether?
You may be wondering why I don't just quit Video Blogging Tips altogether but here's the deal, I love this site and I love giving blogging tips. I enjoy helping others that were once in my position.
Really, it was only one year ago today when I picked up blogging. I know what it's like to work hours on end for little to no money. I built this blog to teach people how to make money and how to be successful online. That's definitely satisfaction enough for me.
Please Note: I do make money just not on this blog. Notice how it's advertisement free?
The Positive
Although I will only be posting only every other day, there is a huge positive to that. Instead of feeling rushed and throwing a post together, I'll actually have time to think about what I want to say and then say it.
I will also have more time to
- Answer emails.
- Build more backlinks.
- Promote my site.
- Make more videos
- And again, write better articles.
I hope that this doesn't disappoint any of my subscribers and I definitely hope to see you guys back for more video blogging tips.

I suggest putting together a bunch of posts and scheduling them to post without you having to do it manually. Then when you get free time, you can build links, promote your posts, answer email, etc. I can write posts for an entire month and schedule them all so that I can focus on my other sites.
Very good idea David. I have done that a few times, but never too often. I'll tell you what, I will follow my created schedule but each time I get "free time" I will do extra posts for later.

Dude, DON'T QUIT!!!! Ever!
I just subscribed yesterday. Honestly, if you'd never written this post, I might not have noticed that you only post every other day. I get so many blogs delivered by email. I'm happy if I read all of them (or at least click and open them and see if they have something relevant that I want to learn). I think you are totally correct to err on the side of quality. Every day, every other day, once a week--whatever. I'll still read as long as you post something I need to learn.

I don't really know about AdSense with this blog though. Usually CTR is really low with blogging tip based blogs.
That's why I have decided to try Adbrite. I can do private advertising and set my own prices with it. We'll see how that goes.
