Two people are facing trial in Los Angeles accused of being the killer of Ashton Kutcher's ex girlfriend, Ashley Ellerin.

The night before Ellerin's body was found, Kutcher told police that he drove by to pick Ellerin up. He was to take her to a party that night, but she never answered. Kutcher also noted that he thought that through a window, he thought he had saw wine stains on the carpet of Ellerin's house before he had left.
Michael Gargiulo suspect
The next day, police found Ellerin stabbed to death. Kutcher was never suspected for her murder. Instead, police suspect a man by the name of Michael Gargiulo as the killer. Due to recent discoveries, police even fear that Gargiulo may be a serieal killer that has been killing for over 15 years.
