The 15 year MLB superstar and Hall of Famer, George Kell, died at the age of 86 in his home this morning.
Kell will best be remembered for his amazing batting skills, his love for the American game., and his spirit on and off of the field. Kell had an impressive career batting average of .306 and played for 5 different Major League teams including, Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, Chicago, and Baltimore.
After his baseball career, Kell became a broadcaster for the Detroit Tigers baseball team from 1959 to 1996.
George Kell will never be forgotten and he will surely be missed. May he rest in peace.
