The USS Hartford and the USS New Orleans collided this morning around 1:00 AM in the Strait of Hormuz located between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. According to News.LA.Late, 15 sailors were injured.
The following statement was released regarding the collision. The source of the released statement is unknown, but the statement itself was found at News.LA.Late.
“New Orleans suffered a ruptured fuel tank, which resulted in an oil spill of approximately 25,000 gallons of diesel fuel marine”
The Positive: No deaths from the collision have been reported.
