[Before I even jump into this Infolinks Review, I want to let you all know that Infolinks can be used alongside with AdSense. I personally spoke with an Infolinks Representative that had confirmation from AdSense Support that it was perfectly a-okay.]
What is Infolinks?
Infolinks is an in text advertising program and much like AdSense, it can be used by both publishers and advertisers. It's a really easy program to join and it can be a great way to monetize a new blog, or further monetize a blog that's already monetized.
Joining Infolinks:
I first joined Infolinks after being contacted by an Infolinks Representative asking me if I'd like to join their site. I had been looking for a good intext service like Infolinks for some time, so I figured that I would give them a try. [After trying Clicksor, I was definitely ready to try a program that sounded promising.]
Using Infolinks is easy!
I followed the instructions on Infolinks' website and went ahead and placed their code onto all of my blogs. At first, the Infolinks advertisements were obvious. Like most other intext advertising sites, Infolinks also had the double underlined links. [If you didn't know, double underlined links scream advertisements to all readers.] I decided to contact Infolinks support regarding the issue.
The next day, I received an email back showing me exactly how to remove the double underlined links and instead, display single underlined links.
[Update] The new Infolinks code simply allows you to choose whether you'd like single or double underlined links.
So implementation was really easy and really customizable with Infolinks [and it's even easier now!] They allow you to change the link color of your ad, the number of ads displayed on a page, and even your content's category with simple point and click implementation. (Seen in the picture above)
Infolinks Earnings:
Now, to the important stuff... The earnings. With Infolinks, you may at first be disappointed with the amount you get per click. This holds especially true if you're some sort of AdSense Guru. that gets $5.00 per click. However, when you begin to notice that you're getting more clicks because the Infolinks ads are better blended compared to other advertisements on your page, you'll stop complaining. My Infolinks earnings are very comparable to my AdSense earnings. I would say that for each $250-$300 I earn with AdSense, I earn between $125-150 with Infolinks. This is extremely good compared to other programs on the net. So far, I have racked up about $354 with Infolinks. [That's a nice little roll of dough.] And I expect that as my site grows, I will earn even more with this program.
Overall Impression
As you may not earn as much with Infolinks as you would with a program like AdSense, it is still a nice way to supplement your income. In fact, if you don't know much about AdSense or where to place your ads / or maybe AdSense just isn't working for you, Infolinks may be an even better option for you anyway.
[This holds especially true if you're running a website with web savvy readers. Web savvy readers rarely click AdSense advertisements simply because they know what ads look like. However, because Infolinks is so well-blended, people will click these ads and in turn, make you money.]
With all of that in mind, I would definitely give Infolinks a try. Their support is great, earnings are nice, and the overall, "What you get back in return feeling," is definitely a steal for a program that's free to join.
Update - 1st payment received on time!
[Update - 4/16/09] - I just received my first Infolinks payment through Paypal so for those who are doubters, doubt no longer. The payment came in a few days ago and I figured I would post an update and a screenshot letting you all know that I was in fact paid for my work.

Check Me Out - I don't mind constructive comments, but to come in here and say a program I love sucks without supporting your claim is rather obnoxious.
A+ review. I have actually used Clicksor before also. I did not like it a bit. The CPM or cost per thousand or whatever it is called was extremely low. By the looks of this, Infolinks looks pretty good.
You were also saying that Infolinks is good for people that do not know much about placing AdSense ads. Well and I do not know much about placing adsense ads. Since that is the case i think infolinks will allow me to paste up the ads, be done with it, and get to what is really important which is workin on the content for my site.

Infolinks is really nice. Clicksor's support was horrible and in my opinion, their ads seemed spammy and sometimes may have even contained viruses. And you're right, the pay through Clicksor was very low.
Also, that's exactly right. If you have no clue about AdSense or implementing an AdSense ad with proper format and placement, Infolinks definitely makes things easy. Just choose your settings, copy the code, and paste it into your site's layout. Automatically, the ads are inserted into your text. So yeah, it's definitely sweet and easy to use.
Haha. You saw the video. Well, I am glad you liked it. I wanted to put the Infolinks sign behind me in my Infolinks review video, but I didn't know if it would be a good idea due to copyright issues.

Infolinks will not lower your page rank. My page rank has only gone up since I have used Infolinks. (Notice how I have a page rank of 3?)

I has not been more than two weeks I started with Infolinks and I am excites. It is good as you described here. I am very happy with it. Now using Inflinks and Adsense, it has doubled my earnings.

i signed up to info links today but i dont understand how to place the script in word press blog site.i am waiting for their support.my adsense account is suspend i think this is best alternate to adsense.
You can place the code in the "footer" template page of your wordpress site. Usually before the ending "/body" tag and then save the file. Give it a few hours to show up and viola!
I'm from India and just registered @ Infolinks yesterday. And its a good news that my site has been approved within 24 hours. By today, my site is running with Infolinks's inline contextual ads. Its really amazing. I never tried adsense. But trying text ad service for the 1st time from this Infolinks service.

wow your CTR and infolinks income was so high. so far so good for my infolinks it increased my CTR. im focusing to drive more traffic to my websites. before my CTR with infolinks were not that good until i change the color and the line. it really boost up my earnings. thank you for sharing

My sites made more in the past through infolinks. I hope the payout increases in 2011. Overall the income is consistent.
Infolinks sucks
Any service that hijacks your system without your permission sucks ass. My guess is the majority of these people posting are getting paid by infolinks to talk good about it.
This is how despicable they are, I was googling how to remove infolinks from my system, and what did I get? I got a page advertising how great it is and nothing about how to remove it. I am reporting them to google for posting false descriptions in the search engine- so that people will click on it under false pretenses. My guess is also thatthe majority of people that google anything with the word infolinks in it are trying to remove it from their system, rather than trying to sign up for their scam.
