Hope for teen celebrities: Selena Gomez does her part to give back to the community by feeding homeless dogs in Puerto Rico for the "Do Something charity."
Selena recently posted the following on her Myspace page:
"I'm honored to be the new ambassador for DoSomething.org! The last time I was in PR shooting Princess Protection Program we noticed all of these stray dogs and puppies. We ended up finding out that Puerto Rico has a dead dog beach its sounds worse than it is but people actually kills dogs for fun here."
It's sad that amazing stories like this don't get more publicity. I have always liked Selena Gomez. By feeding these homeless dogs in Puerto Rico, Gomez is really stepping up as a role model for her fans. I hope to hear about this on ET later tonight. If not, I'm going to be PO'd because this is an amazing story.

This is a great story. You are right by the way. When Miley Cyrus pictures hit the fan news headlines went crazy. There was a major bang in the news scene and magazine sales went skyrocket. Selena Gomez's positive story probably won't even hit people's TV sets tonight. It's sad, but that is the way things are I suppose.

I am a mom of two young girls and they are always watching these young teen shows on tv. I love the fact that someone they look up to finally did something wonderful for the community. I will be show my daughter these pictures and telling them the importance of giving back when I pick them up from school. Thank you for the story.
Selena Gomez feeding these homeless dogs is a really amazing story simply because, when was the last time you heard of a teen celebrity giving back? I know that for me, it has been along time since I heard of something nice like this. Great Job Selena! Keep up the great work!
man i love selena gomez and this is so amazing that she is doing that and yes sadly that is how things have to be. its very sad. She is such a great role model for young girls, and i hope she continues that. i love sg.
I am from Sri Lanka and only 10% of the dogs who have no homes are alive.And a lot of danger is in sri Lanka. I am going to help them. I think selena gomez is great to do this but I think I am going to do better than her. I have 20 dogs in my house. I am going to be a vet when I grow up. I am only 9 and I am going to start a buisness for dogs.
