All Headline News is reporting that authorize.net is experiencing a server outage after a fire at one of the Seattle Data Centers. According to All Headline News, the fire took place at Fisher Plaza. This is causing many problems, but the main one; vendors currently do not have the ability to accept payments.
If you're not familiar with Authorize.net, it's a "credit card processor for a wide range of e-commerce businesses," says All Headline News.
According to All Headline News, the 10-hour-outage will cost merchants (sellers) millions of dollars in lost revenue. Currently, there is no speculation to how much the outage will cause Authorize.net to lose.
