I just checked out Chronicle Live, and I have some bad news. Bobby Robson's battle with cancer has sadly come to a hault. Robson has been fighting death away since 1991, but at the age of 76, his body could take no more.

The Sun has received and posted the family statement that was sent out on Bobby's behalf, "It is with great sadness that it has been announced today that Sir Bobby Robson has lost his long and courageous battle with cancer." The family continued to say that he "died peacefully." In their statement, they also ask "if their privacy could be respected." Let's hope so... We all know how intruding the news / papz can be.
If you're unfamiliar with Robson, he was a manager for two teams during his career: England, Newcastle and Ipswich. Chronicle Live states that this is the, "Death of a Legend." They continued to stated that Bobby Robson will be remembered for his, "great reverence and huge affection." May he rest in peace.
