You're up and can't fall asleep? Let me guess, this probably isn't the first time this has happened to you. In fact, you're the person that's lucky enough to fall asleep in under 15 minutes. And while you're sitting there wide awake, the person right next to you is sound asleep, leaving you with the question, "how do they do it? How do they fall asleep so quickly?"
Now, you're thinking: "I want to know how to fall asleep fast!
Sleeping pills scam!
Sure, you could go purchase sleeping pills or sleep aids. And sure, they probably do help you fall asleep. But honestly, think for a short moment before taking the easy, but expensive way out.
You don't need a sleeping pill / medicine to fall asleep! You didn't need them when you were a baby, why would you need them now? It's all one big scam. What you really should do is find the true reason you can't fall asleep at night.
And for most people who can't fall asleep, the problem underlays in their mind.
Mind control
You really want to know why your friend Joe Schmo can fall asleep so quickly? It's because he can clear his mind! While you're probably thinking about the new day ahead and or money or relationship problems, Joe Schmo pushes these problems aside before rest, allowing himself to fall asleep quickly and efficiently.
Mind Control: Before bed tips
- Write everything that is on your mind on paper.
- Talk to somebody about what's on your mind.
- Forgive yourself.
Before bed sleep techniques
As mind control is the major factor in falling asleep quickly, some of the following tips may also help you to fall asleep.
- Working out at least 1/2 an hour a day.
- Having proper sleeping materials: Bed, covers, pillows...
- Listening to soothing sounds: Ocean waves, music, or waterfalls.
- Eating 2tbsp peanut butter before bed.
- Drinking warm milk.
- Using the restroom.
- Watching golf.
- Counting sheep (in your mind).
- Reading.
- Relaxing: warm bath, shower, etc.
- Developing consistency in your sleeping habits.
Falling asleep naturally isn't always easy
This is definitely going to be something you're going to have to fiddle with. But again, it sure beats paying for those sleeping pills - which you don't need!
Just for a laugh: There were no sleeping pills in the "olden days." So what? You think people just didn't sleep? Nope. Instead, they actually took the time to solve their sleeping problems.
It is possible for you to learn how to fall asleep fast. But again, it's something you'll have to work on and teach yourself over time.
